The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns are back in action Saturday night as they play host to the league's only unbeaten team.

Georgia Southern (10-6, 3-0 Sun Belt) has taken advantage of opening with three in a row at home, drilling state rival Georgia State and taking close wins over Troy and South Alabama.  The Eagles have won four straight and six of their last seven.

Georgia Southern is lead by sophomores Ike Smith and Tookie Brown, who are first and second in the league in scoring.  Smith averages 19.7 and Brown, last year's SBC Freshman of the Year, at 17.3.  Brown is also fourth in the league in assists (4.4) and second behind the Cajuns' Jay Wright in assists (2.0).

The Eagles are going to shoot it from the perimeter.  A lot.  They've taken 425 three pointers in 16 games this season (26.5 per game) and lead the league in three pointers made per game (9.1).  Jake Alsmiller has taken the most three pointers (97) and shoots 42% from beyond the arc.

JANUARY 14, 2016--LOUISIANA 74, GEORGIA SOUTHERN 65--In Statesboro, the Cajuns got their first league road win as Shawn Long scored 23 points and had 17 rebounds  to lead the Cajuns to the win.   Bryce Washington scored eight points and pulled down eight rebounds, while Jay Wright added eight points, four rebounds and three assists.  Brown led the Eagles with 20 points on 10-17 shooting.  Hughes added 14, but Smith was just 2-13 from the field and the Eagles shot just 26.5 percent in the second half, and made only 1-14 from three point range.

MARCH 5, 2016--LOUISIANA 87, GEORGIA SOUTHERN 78--Shawn Long eventually fouled out with eleven points and nine rebounds, but Devonta Walker picked up the slack with 16 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Cajuns on Senior NIght.  Brown had 25 points and Mike Hughes had 23 for the visitors.  Kasey Shepherd led the Cajuns in scoring with 20 points.  Louisiana outrebounded the visitors 49-19, and made 25-31 from the free throw line.  Each team made eight three pointers in the game.

The Cajuns will be looking for their tenth straight home win dating back to the game against the Eagles last season.
