
Cajuns Close Out Road Trip At Georgia St. – Inside The Numbers
Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun men’s basketball team returns to the hardwood on Saturday afternoon, when coach Bob Marlin’s squad travels to Atlanta, Georgia to take on the Georgia St. Panthers in a Sun Belt Conference match-up.
The game will be the backend of a women’s/men’s doubleheader, with the UL women taking on Georgia St. earlier in the day.
Tipoff time for the men’s game is set for 1:30 pm.

Louisiana, who defeated Georgia Southern, 74-65, on Thursday night, is 6-8, overall, and 2-3 in league play, while Georgia St., beat ULM on Thursday, 65-51, is currently 11-3, and 4-1, respectively.
The Cajuns are outscoring the opposition, 80.5/76.6, and outshooting them from the floor, 44%/43%, while also holding down a 43.3/36.4 rebound advantage.
Louisiana is led by senior forward Shawn Long, who is averaging 18.9 points, to go along with 12.6 rebounds-per-game, and senior guard Kasey Shepherd, who is averaging 10.9 points and 2.3 rebounds a contest.
Georgia St. is outscoring the opposition, 66.9/59.9, and outshooting opponents from the floor, 46%/39%, while being outrebounded, 33.9/30.2.
The Panthers are paced by junior forward Jeremy Hollowell, who is scoring 15.4 points, while pulling down 4.4 rebounds-per-game.
