Cajuns Close Mid-Week Schedule in Houston

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns will play their final mid-week game of the season Tuesday night when they travel to Houston to take on the Cougars out of Conference USA.

Game time is scheduled for 6:30 at Cougar Field.

Neither team has had a year to be happy about.

The Cajuns (23-27) snapped a four game losing streak with a doubleheader sweep over Middle Tennessee last Saturday.  Houston (17-30-1), meanwhile had a good series at home against Tulane.

Joe Zimmerman (0-3, 6.12 ERA) will get the start for the Cajuns.  Houston will counter with Matt Hernandez (0-2, 6.66).  With weekend series beginning on Thursday this week, neither pitcher is expected to go very far in the game.

Houston leads the all-time series 36-12-1, but the Cajuns won the previous meeting this season, beating the Cougars 3-1.

Louisiana returns home to close out the regular season this Thursday, Friday and Saturday against Louisiana-Monroe.  All three games are scheduled for 6pm.
