Louisiana Ragin' Cajun wide receiver Lance Pace suffered a season-ending knee injury this morning at practice, as reported by Tim Buckley of The Advertiser.

Pace, a junior from Lumberton, Texas, joins junior WR Jared Johnson as the second Cajun receiver to suffer a season-ending injury during fall camp practice.

Pace was running as the number three slot receiver behind Al Riles and freshmen Gary Haynes through the first week of camp.

Louisiana head coach Mark Hudspeth spoke of true freshmen wideouts Keenan Barnes, Ja'Marcus Bradley, Michael Jacquet, and Jarrod Jackson as players who will get reps at the slot.

With the recent injuries to Johnson and Pace, the possibility of true freshmen playing an integral role in the wide receiving core continues to grow.
