Texas State and Arkansas State student-athletes have been honored by the Sun Belt Conference this week.

Bobcats' running back Robert Lowe and punter/place kicker Lumi Kaba were named for offense and special teams, while defensive back Cody Brown won the defensive award, announced Monday by the conference.

Lowe rushed for a career high 248 yards and scored three touchdowns in Texas State's 36-18 win over South Alabama.  More than 200 of his yards came in the second half as the Bobcats won their first conference game.

Kaba kept South Alabama bottled up by averaging nearly 48 yards per punt on seven kicks during the game, including a 67 yarder.  Two of his punts were downed at the one yard line and he had five kicks inside the 20.  He also scored five points.

Brown returned an interception 30 yards for a score against Louisiana Tuesday night.  He also had seven tackles and a pass breakup.  Brown now has intercepted a pass in three straight games.

All of the league's teams are in action this week except for South Alabama.  All of the games scheduled this week are conference games.
