Saints Facing Distractions

The New Orleans Saints will be playing in a glitzy new stadium, on a holiday, when they face the Dallas Cowboys, on Thanksgiving Day. Jim Mashek, of the Associated Press, has the story, courtesy of the Sun Herald, below.

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees admits it’s going to be a little surrealistic playing Dallas in the Cowboys’ $1.2 billion showplace today in Arlington, Texas.

“All I hear is that there’s so much going on at this stadium,” Brees said. “That the Jumbotron is almost as long as the field. There are all these potential distractions. Once the game starts, it’s football.

“I’ve never played in a Thanksgiving Day game.”
