A member of the New Orleans Saints' current 90-man roster is now serving jail time.

Carl Granderson, an undrafted rookie defensive end out of Wyoming, was sentenced to six months in jail Thursday after a judge rejected the terms of his plea agreement on sexual assault charges.

Granderson, who was accused of inappropriately touching two women while they slept at his apartment in 2018, was charged with third-degree sexual assault and sexual battery.

The 6-foot-5, 260-pound Granderson reached a plea agreement with prosecutors and pleaded no contest to lesser charges of sexual battery and unlawful contact, which would have had him serving one-year of probation, plus mental evaluation, before a Wyoming judge rejected it.

Granderson was then sent to jail, where he immediately began his sentence.

The Saints are now expected to release Granderson, who compiled 16.5 sacks in his four years at Wyoming, and replace him on the 90-man roster.
