Ron Washington, shed some light on his resignation, disclosing "I was not true to my wife" during a press conference on Thursday.

Citing personal reasons, the 62-year old Washington resigned from his managerial post with the Texas Rangers on Sept. 5,  after close to eight years on the job.

Washington accumulated a career mark of 664-611 record during his tenure with Texas, and guided the club to its first two World Series appearances (2010, '11).
