LSU RB Jeremy Hill To Play Versus UAB, Poor Decision By Les Miles

LSU tailback Jeremy Hill will play tomorrow night for the Tigers against the UAB Blazers, according to a report from The Advocate.

Hill will not start, but reportedly will play as a backup running back.

Les Miles will be criticized for the decision, and it will be justified.

After being suspended in April for sucker punching a man at an off-campus bar (see video of the incident here), Hill was already on probation for carnal knowledge of a juvenile. According to Baton Rouge judge Bonnie Jackson, Hill did not violate his probation when he was arrested for the sucker punch.

Miles reinstated Hill to the team shortly after that August 5th ruling, putting his reinstatement up to a team vote. The vote was unanimous. This led many to believe Hill would play week 1 versus TCU. He dressed, but did not play. The nature of his crime (carnal knowledge of a juvenile), coupled with the video of his punch leaves a lasting image into the eyes of anyone, LSU fan or not.

Miles should've suspended Hill for at least 3 games, but in the end, Hill only missed one.
