College Football Bowl Projections – Week 10
Are the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns heading to their second-consecutive bowl game, and 7th in the last 9 years?
Well, with the Cajuns currently sporting a 6-2 record, at least one major media outlet seems to think so.
247Sports projects Louisiana to play in the Arizona Bowl, which is scheduled for Tuesday, December 31, in Tucson, Arizona.
Brad Crawford projects that UL will face Fresno St. in the game.
This is a new projection, as for the eight previous weeks Crawford and 247Sports had Louisiana headed to the Mobile Bowl.
Louisiana became bowl-eligible last Saturday with a 31-3 homecoming win over Texas St., their 6th triumph over their last 7 games.
The Cajuns return to action fare on Thursday evening when they travel to Conway, South Carolina to take on the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers.
UL went 7-7 last season, their first under head coach Billy Napier, including a spot in the inaugural Sun Belt Conference Championship Game, a 30-19 setback to Appalachian St., as well as a 41-24 loss to Tulane in the Cure Bowl.
This season, the Cajuns are doing even better, already bowl-eligible, with still four regular-season games remaining.
Also of note; the site projects LSU to square off with Alabama in the Peach Bowl, one of two bowl games in the College Football Playoff.
The projected 4-team College Football Playoff Field includes Alabama, Clemson, LSU, and Ohio St.
