UL Softball Set To Open Year

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun softball team will open up their 2011 regular season schedule, on Friday, when they play host to Rhode Island, in the opening day of play in the 25th Annual Louisiana Classics Softball Tournament. Ragincajuns.com has the story, below.

The No.17 Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns softball team will get the 2011 season underway this weekend as it hosts the 25^th Annual Louisiana Classics at Lamson Park on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The Cajuns will welcome Arkansas, Prairie View A&M, Rhode Island and Sam Houston State to town for the three day event.

On Friday, UL will kick-off the 2011 season with a pair of games against Rhode Island.  The Cajuns and Rams are set for a 2:00 p.m. first pitch followed by another contest at 4:30 p.m.
