UL Softball Host Mardi Invitational Tournement – Preview

The 20th-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajun softball team returns to the diamond on Friday, when they open up play in the 8th-Annual Mardi Gras Invitational at Lamson Park.

Louisiana will come into the Tournament with a perfect 3-0 record, after defeating Rutgers, Tulsa, and Mississippi Valley St. in last weekend's Louisiana classics Tournament.

The Cajuns will play twice on Friday, at 11:30 am against UTEP (3-1), and at 2 o'clock against Northwestern University (2-3).

UL plays twice again on Saturday, taking on #25 North Carolina (4-0) at 2 o'clock, and Northwestern St. (2-3) at 4:30 pm.

Louisiana wraps-up tournament play on Sunday at 4:30, when they square off with Louisiana Tech at 4:30 pm.

Tournament action kicks-off at 9 am on both Friday and Saturday, and 8:30 am on Sunday.
