UL Softball Completes Series Sweep Of WKU

The UL softball team completed a Sun Belt Conference sweep of the WKU Lady Toppers, winning 10-0, in five innings, on Sunday, at Lamson Park.  Ragincajuns.com has the story, below.

On Senior Day at Lamson Park, the Cajuns lone senior, Gabriele Bridges made it a special day as she went 3-for-3 in a Cajuns 10-0 win to clinch a series sweep of Western Kentucky.

The win moves the 23^rd ranked Cajuns (42-9, 16-5) to 26-1 at Lamson Park in 2011 and keeps them atop the Sun Belt Conference standings with three-games left in the regular season.

As mentioned, Bridges was 3-for-3 on the day with two RBI to pace a potent Cajuns offense.  Taryn Broussard also posted multiple hits and RBI as she went 2-for-2 with four RBI.
