Watch, as Austin Fay, of Glenwood High School (Illinois) gives us maybe the best return not to result in a touchdown.

Fay gets hammered right as he catches the punt, at the Lanphier High School 48-yard line, but somehow manages to stay upright. He then breaks free of three more potential tacklers, who seemed to have him measured up for a loss of yards, before racing all the way down to the 4-yard line, where he was finally brought down.

So, no, it wasn't a touchdown, and yes, the tackling was less than perfect, but it was still a great 44-yard return.
