Snead With Ravens as Saints Decline to Match Offer
ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting the New Orleans Saints have declined to match the offer made to wide receiver Willie Snead from the Baltimore Ravens. The story was first reported by CBS Sports.
Snead agreed to a two year offer sheet worth seven million dollars last week. The Saints had five days in which to match the offer, but declined to do so.
The move was expected since the Saints signed Cameron Meredith to a similar two year deal and resigned veteran Brandon Coleman.
After totaling 141 catches in two seasons from 2015-16, Snead had just eight catches after being suspended three games because of a DUI and also fought a hamstring injury.
