The New Orleans Saints may be looking for help at the linebacker position.


The 29-year old Freeny, who played in two games with New Orleans last season, was released by the Detroit Lions on September 1. He has six NFL seasons to his credit, totaling 62 total tackles, including two sacks.

The 25-year old Keyes was waved by the Washington Redskins on November 11, after spending 8 games with the Cleveland Browns last year, and two more with the Chargers, mainly on special teams. He has compiled two tackles over parts of three NFL seasons.

The 23-year old Sankey, who was waived by the Detroit Lions on September 1, played in six games with the Indianapolis Colts last season, without making a tackle. He has also spent time on the practice squads of the Colts, Ravens, and Lions.

The 25-year old Spaight, who was released by the Washington Redskins on September 1, spent all of last season in Washington, accumulating 41 tackles in 15 games. In parts of three NFL seasons, he has totaled 54 career tackles.
