The New Orleans Saints continued to work on their 2018 roster on Tuesday.

The team signed outside linebacker Jayrone Elliott to a reserve/future contract.

The 26-year old Elliott entered the league in 2014 as an undrafted free agent out of Toledo with the Green Bay Packers., where he spent three seasons (2014-16), prior to being traded for a brief two-week stint with the Dallas Cowboys in 2017.

The 6-foot-3, 255-pound Elliott has appeared in 39 career games, totaling 57 tackles, to go along with four sacks, one interception, and a forced fumble.

A native of Cleveland Ohio, Elliott becomes the 16th player that the Saints have signed to a reserve/future contract.

Teams around the league can sign players to reserve/future deals with a view to the upcoming season when the league's calendar year begins, which is March 14.
