Saints Place Delvin Breaux On IR, Resign Bryce Harris
The New Orleans Saints, preparing for their season opener on Monday night, made a couple of more roster moves on Monday.
The placed cornerback Delvin Breaux on injured reserve, while bringing back offensive tackle Bryce Harris.
Breaux, who had surgery in August to repair a fractured fibula, must spend at least six weeks on injured reserve, and then put in two weeks of practice before the Saints can activate him to the 53-man roster, meaning that the earliest he could play would be on week 9.
The 28-year old Harris, who spent three seasons with the Saints (2012-2014) earlier in his career, spent training camp with the Saints before being released Saturday.
The 6-foot-6, 300-pound Harris has appeared in 35 career games, all but one with the Saints, including 4 starts.
The Saints begin their 2017 regular season schedule on Monday night, when they take on the Minnesota Vikings.
