Saints Have Interest In Free Agent Cornerbacks

The New Orleans Saints have interest in a pair of free agent cornerbacks.

The Saints and Patriots discussed a potential trade last offseason that would have brought the 28-year old Butler to New Orleans, but it never materialized.

A native of Vicksburg, Mississippi, Butler has compiled 173 tackles and 8 interceptions over 4 NFL seasons, all with the Patriots.

Last season in New England, Butler accumulated 55 tackles and two interceptions.

The New York Giants released the 31-year old Rodgers-Cromartie over the weekend after he rejected a pay cut. He was scheduled to make $6.48MM in 2018.

A two-time Pro Bowler, Rodgers-Cromartie has totaled 439 tackles and 30 interceptions over his 10-year career, spent with the Arizona Cardinals, Denver Broncos, and Giants.

A native of Bradenton, Florida, Rodgers-Cromartie had 31 tackles and 0 interceptions last season.
