Saints Depth Chart For Preseason Opener
The New Orleans Saints released their 2-deep depth chart on Thursday, prior to their preseason opener on Friday night against the Minnesota Vikings.
The depth chart is unofficial, and likely won't be the same for their regular season opener against the Houston Texans on September 9, but it is still interesting to take a look at.
On offense, Drew Brees is listed as the starter at quarterback, while Zach Line is running #1 at fullback.
Alvin Kamara, as expected is listed as the starter at running back, with Latavius Murray #2.
Matthew Dayes, who was waived on Thursday, with an injury designation, is listed on the depth chart, but obviously, he won't play tonight.
Michael Thomas and Ted Ginn are the current starters at receiver, with Jared Cook the top option at tight end.
Along the offensive line, Nick Easton and rookie Erik McCoy are listed as co-starters at center, Larry Warford and Andrus Peat are the guards, and Terron Armstead and Ryan Ramczyk are the tackles.
Defensively, the front seven consists of Malcom Brown (nose tackle), David Onyemata (defensive tackle), Cam Jordan (end), and Marcus Davenport (end) across the defensive front, with A.J. Klein, Alex Anzalone, and Damario Davis at linebacker.
In the secondary, Marshon Lattimore and Eli Apple are the top corners, while Marcus Williams and Vonn Bell are being listed as starters at the safety spots.
