LSU plans to honor one of their own when they take the field in Tiger Stadium this weekend against Arkansas.

We reported earlier this week that star defensive player Greg Brooks underwent surgery this week to remove a mass from his brain.

So, with that said, LSU players will honor their teammates this weekend by wearing a special decal on their helmets.

LSU Head Coach Brian Kelly announced that the team will wear the number 3, Brooks' jersey number, on their helmets when they take the field Saturday night against the Arkansas Razorbacks.

While this gesture will be so special for Brooks and his teammates, we do have some good news to share and that's the report Brooks was able to stand on his own just a few days after this major procedure.

The LSU Tigers will take on Arkansas at 6 pm and the game will be televised on national television, on ESPN.

If you missed the statement from Brooks' family earlier in the week, here's what was released on social media in regard to his situation.
