In The Au-Zone: The Most Epic Call In ESPN 1420 History
During today's show, we spent the last two hours discussing the fight that occurred at the end of the Lafayette/Lagrange football game last night. To summarize the big points from that conversation: Fighting has no place in high school athletics, the players must do a better job controlling their emotions, the coaches must do a better job of helping their players control their emotions, and lax officiating by the crew furnished by the Lake Charles association help set off the powder keg that exploded.
One caller, who asked to remain anonymous, checked in to express his views on the situation. As one other listener described it, it's the "greatest call ever."
Later in the show, the caller returned to discuss the need for more officials and the need for quality football officials, especially in the Lake Charles area. This call was just as epic as the first.
