A former member of the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns had a memorable day last week; proving that she was not only a standout on the softball field, but in the classroom as well.

Kara Gremillion, a four-year starter at third base for Louisiana, from 2016-2019, graduated in kinesiology last Friday.

A native of Gonzales, Gremillion was named a two-time first-team All-Sun Belt Conference selection (2017 & 2018), as well as a second-team pick last year, while also being tabbed a first-team All-Louisiana selection in 2017.

A fixture on the diamond, starting 225-consecutive games during her UL career, Gremillion also excelled in the classroom, being named to the Sun Belt Conference Academic Honor Roll for four-consecutive years.

Over her 4-year career with the Cajuns, Gremillion compiled 198 hits and 105 runs batted in, while scoring 177 runs.

Congratulations to Kara!
