Former Saints CB Brandon Browner Says He Took Millions And Ran With It
Former New Orleans Saints cornerback Brandon Browner had one season with the team. It was tumultuous.
After signing a 3-year, $15 million deal with New Orleans last offseason, Browner stated shortly thereafter at a Seahawks charity softball game he'd love to play for Seattle again one day.
He's currently a member of the Seattle Seahawks, following a year in New Orleans in which he led the NFL in penalties for a team ranked near the bottom of the league in defense. He was constantly beat in coverage, blowing up at the local media after a loss.
New Orleans released him a few months ago. He made $5 million last year.
Now he's trolling the Saints by interacting with rude fans on his Instagram account.
After posting a picture of he and All-Pro Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman, several commentators posted inappropriate messages with foul language, citing his on field struggles in a Saints uniform last year.
Browner responded by saying the Saints are "weak" and that he "took that few millions (and) ran with it".
Seattle visits New Orleans in week 8 of the upcoming NFL season. Expect plenty of social media trash talk from fans and Browner leading up to it.
