ESPN is televising three games as Major League Baseball opens the 2011 season this Thursday.

At noon, the Detroit Tigers visit the New York Yankees (Justin Verlander vs. C. C. Sabathia.)  Then at 3:15 the San Diego Padres take on the St. Louis Cardlinals (Tim Stauffer vs. Chris Carpenter). And, at 7:00 the World Champion San Francisco Giants travel to L. A. to take on the Dodgers (Tim Lincecum vs. Clayton Kershaw.)

In other games on Opening Day, Atlanta is at Washington, the Angels are at Kansas City and Milwaukee is at Cincinnati.
