College Basketball Talk Predicts Cajuns To Make NCAA Field
College Basketball Talk has released their preseason NCAA Tournament bracket projections, and have Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns in the field.
Dave Ommen, who put together the projected field, which will undoubtedly have major changes throughout the course of the year, projects Louisiana as the #13-seed in the West Region, with a first-round match-up against 4th-seeded Gonzaga.
Coming off their third post-season appearance in the past four years, the Cajuns return all five starters and nine letterwinners from a 2014-15 team that finished 22-14 and reached the quarterfinals of the CollegeInsider.com Tournament, including Shawn Long, the Sun Belt Conference Preseason Player of the Year.
College Basketball Talk projects UL as the only Sun Belt Conference school in the field.
North Carolina, Kentucky, Kansas, and Maryland are the projected top seeds, while LSU is projected as a #8 seed.
