Cajuns/Eagles Rained Out Again

Rain has washed away the weekend series opener between Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns and the Southern Miss Golden Eagles for the second straight day. The two teams are now scheduled to play a doubleheader on Sunday, beginning at 2 pm. The Southern Miss Series (UL leads 17-15): The series dates back to 1981 and is 32 meetings old. The two schools have increased their meetings of late, having played 17 games since 2000. The Cajuns are 7-10 vs. USM under Tony Robichaux. This is UL's fourth trip to Hattiesburg under Robichaux (2001, 2007, 2009 were previous trips). The Golden Eagles claimed the last series at Pete Taylor Park, winning two-of-three Feb. 27-March 1, 2009. The two schools first met with a three-game series in Hattiesburg in April 1981.
