Cajuns Open Series at Troy Tonight
The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns hope to get back on the winning track tonight when they face Troy in the first game of their Sun Belt Conference series at Riddle-Pace Field in Troy, AL.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:00pm and can be heard on 96.5 KPEL-FM.
The Cajuns (11-8, 2-1 Sun Belt) will send Gunner Leger (4-1, 0.85 ERA) to the mound for game one of the series. Leger has allowed only one run in his last 27.2 innings pitched.
Saturday the Cajuns will call on Nick Lee (4-1, 3.49), who suffered his first loss of the season last Saturday against Appalachian State.
Sunday, the Cajuns will turn to sophomore left hander Hogan Harris (1-0, 0.60), who will be making his third straight Sunday start.
Troy (12-8, 2-1) has tabbed right hander Darren Osby (4-1, 2.40 ERA) as their Friday starter, while a pair of lefties, Austin Cook (3-0, 2.18) and Loreauville product Evan Hebert (1-0, 3.38) scheduled to work the final two games of the series.
Troy is averaging just over five runs per game and has a .243 team batting average. The Cajuns hit for a higher average, (.264) but average just four runs per contest.
Louisiana leads the Sun Belt in ERA (2.89) while Troy comes into the weekend ranked 3rd (3.59).
