Louisiana Ragin' Cajun guard Kia Wilridge has been named the LSWA (Louisiana Sports Writers Association) Player of the Month.

Wilridge, a senior from Crowley, averaged 14 points per game in the month of November, and she doled out 16 assists.

Louisiana is off to a 5-1 start, with wins over two SEC teams (Ole Miss, Arkansas).

Last night, the Cajuns beat ULM in Monroe 71-52 (full recap here).

Wilridge's is the first Cajun player under head coach Garry Brodhead (now in his 4th year with Louisiana) to earn the prestigious honor of LSWA Player of the Month.

The Cajuns return to action on Saturday, December 12, when they host Dillard in non-conference play.
