The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns got a perfect double squeeze bunt in the seventh inning to give the Cajuns a come from behind 8-6 win over the New Orleans Privateers Wednesday night at M. L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park.

Daniel Lahare started the rally with a one out single off UNO reliever Matthew Oset (2-2).  Hayden Cantrelle doubled to put the runners at second and third and Gavin Bourgeois laid down the bunt that scored both runners to give the Cajuns the lead.

Louisiana added an insurance run in the eighth with Zach Lafleur's sacrifice fly scoring Kennon Fontenot, who had doubled.

Dylan Moore (2-3) was brilliant in relief, throwing the final four innings.  He allowed only one hit with one walk and four strikeouts.

New Orleans (18-25) got on the board in the first inning off Cajuns' starter Grant Cox when Pearce Howard singled and went to third as the ball got by Lafleur in right.  Howard scored on Owen Magee's sacrifice fly.  But the Cajuns got the run back in the bottom of the inning when  Cantrelle laced a one out double, went to third on a wild pitch by UNO starter Kyle Arjona and scored on a grounder by  Bourgeois.

UNO got the lead right back when Cox issued back to back walks.  A sacrifice moved the runners up and Darren Willis drove in the run with a grounder to give the Privateers a 2-1 lead.

Cody Ducote led off the fourth inning with a home run off Cox and the Cajun lefty gave up a hit and a walk following the homer.  Reliever Brett Williams got a pair of strikeouts but wild pitched the runners to second and third.  Howard's two run single gave the Privateers a 5-1 lead.

But the Cajuns (24-19) came right back in the bottom of the inning.  Kasuls singled and went to third on a pair of ground balls.  Lafleur tripled home the run and scored on Kole McKinnon's single.  McKinnon took second on a wild pitch and scored on Jonathan WIndham's single to cut the lead to 5-4.

A bases loaded walk gave UNO a 6-4 lead in the fifth, but Bourgeois' RBI double in the bottom of the inning got the Cajuns within a run, setting up the seventh inning drama.

The Cajuns had twelve hits in the game, marking the first time this season Louisiana has tallied double digit hits in three straight games.  Cantrelle and Kasuls each had a pair of hits for the Cajuns as every starter had at least one hit.  Bourgeois had four RBI in the game while Lafleur added two.  UNO was led by Pearce Howard and former Cajun Orynn Veillon who had two hits apiece.

The Cajuns will face Georgia State in a three game Sun Belt conference series beginning Friday at 5:00 pm.  The game can be heard on NewsTalk 96.5 KPEL-FM.
