Russell Wilson Talks About Being Drated By The Texas Rangers

Last Thursday, the Texas Rangers selected Russell Wilson in Major League Baseball's Rule 5 Draft.

The Rangers selected Wilson, the 25-year old starting quarterback of the Seattle Seahawks, from the Colorado Rockies, and now retain his rights.

Of course, Wilson isn't likely to hand in his football helmet for a batting helmet anytime soon.

Wilson was selected in the 41st-round of the MLB Amateur Draft by the Baltimore Orioles in 2007, before being taken in the fourth round by the Rockies in 2010.

After playing his college baseball at North Carolina St. Wilson played two years of minor league baseball, from 2010-2011, accumulating a .229 overall average, with five home runs, 26 RBI's, and 19 stolen bases.
