The New Orleans Pelicans got the 17th overall pick via their trade with the Atlanta Hawks and they used it to select shooting guard from Virginia Tech Nickeil Alexander-Walker.

Alexander-Walker is the cousin of Los Angeles Clippers guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and averaged 16 points per game, four rebounds, four assists, two steals, and shot 37% from three-point distance last season.

He'll most likely come off the bench for New Orleans this coming season if he's in the rotation, here's a look at his highlights from VA Tech:

In the second round, the Pelicans selected Marcos "Didi" Lozado Silva in the second round.  He is a 6'5" shooting guard from Brazil.
