Coastal Carolina jumped out to a 9-2 lead and turned back a Troy rally to take an 11-6 win in the championship game of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament at Russo Park in Lafayette.

The top-seeded Chanticleers (42-17) went through the tournament undefeated, scoring 42 runs in the four games they played.  Coastal claimed the automatic bid to the NCAA Regional and will be considered for a host site.  Troy (41-19) is expected to receive an at-large bid when the pairings are released at 11:00 am Monday on ESPNU.

Zach Biermann drove in three runs, giving him 12 RBI for the tournament as he was named the Most Outstanding Player.  Seth Lancaster homered for the third time in the tournament, giving him 19 for the season.  Kevin Woodall, Jr. also hit his 19th as the two went back to back for the second time in the tournament.

Drew Frederick, Brandon Lockridge and Joey Denison each had two hits for Troy.  Rigsby Mosley drove in a pair of runs, while Cole Prestegard homered.

Zach Hopeck got the win, while C. J. Carter (8-5) took the loss.
