Game 3 was the game the Cleveland Cavaliers knew they needed to win and it looked like they would be well on their way to winning game 3 and giving the Warriors their first loss of the playoffs. The Cavs had all of the momentum in the 2nd half and they had a 6 point lead late in the 4th quarter and the unthinkable happened. Kevin Durant would hit a 3-pointer with under a minute to go to go up by 1 shocking everyone in Cleveland. The Warriors would go on an 11-0 run to win game 3 of the NBA Finals 118-113.

The game was similar to the 1st 2 games because it was a close game in the first half, but it was different because in the 2nd half it was actually a close game which most NBA fans hadn't seen for most of the playoffs. It was a game that the NBA desperately needed to gain more viewership because most people don't like watching blowouts.

Lebron James and Kyrie Irving played like their usual selves by scoring 39 and 38 respectively and they got a little bit of help from their bench but Kevin Durant and the Warriors were just too much for the Cavs in the end. The Warriors' main stars all had above 20 points with Steph Curry's 26 points, Klay Thompson's 30 points and Kevin Durant's 31 points.

In order for the Cavaliers to avoid getting swept they will have to play out of their minds in game 4 and have more help from their bench. Everyone in Cleveland thought the Cavs had game 3 in the bag because they had the momentum but they got complacent on defense and let the Warriors steal the win from them. Game 4 will played on Friday at 8 PM and if the Cavs win game 4, game 5 of the Finals will be played on Monday night at 8 PM.
