U.S. Hoopsters Dismantle Spain in Olympic Tuneup
Four years ago, the United States and Spain met for the gold medal in the Beijing Olympics, and many believe those two teams might meet for the gold again in London.
The two teams played an exhibition today and it was a game....for about a quarter.
Despite a size disadvantage, the United States defeated Spain 100-78 in a tuneup for the Olympics beginning next week in London.
Carmelo Anthony scored 27 points, 23 in the first half and LeBron James added 25 to pace the Americans. Pau Gasol scored 19 and Serge Ibaka added 17 for the Spaniards.
