After barreling through the Portland Trail Blazers in a 4 game sweep, the New Orleans Pelicans have been awaiting tip-off for their round 2 matchup with the defending NBA Champion Golden State Warriors, who wrapped up their series with the San Antonio Spurs last night, winning 4 games to 1.

Game 1 of the best-of-seven series will tip-off Saturday night at 9:30 in Oakland. The game will be nationally televised by TNT. A local postgame show will air following each game of the series on Fox Sports New Orleans.

The rest of the series schedule is to be determined.

New Orleans faced Golden State in the first round of the 2015 playoffs as an 8 seed. The Warriors swept the series 4-0.

“We’re a different team. I’m a different player," said Anthony Davis after today's shoot around when asked about the series from 3 years ago. "Different coaching staff. Everything is different. That’s in the past. We’re worried about today.”

The Pelicans playoff break in play of a week will be the longest of any team this postseason.
