New Orleans Pelicans superstar Anthony Davis (pictured left) let out a primal scream late in the 4th quarter of a 111-106 win over the Phoenix Suns, fighting two defenders for a rebound.

"YYYYEEEAHHHHHHH! YEAH," screamed Davis, who grabbed a crucial rebound with his team leading by 2 and less than 30 seconds to go.

The scream was a burst of emotion from a team leader who was desperate for a victory.

Snapping a 4 game losing streak and remaining in striking distance of the 8 seed in the Western Conference is the Pelicans top priority.

"I think we did a great job defensively," said Davis after the win. "We helped each other out. We played together as a unit, came together and got the win tonight."

Davis scored 34 points, pulled down 9 boards, blocked 5 shots, all team highs. He also got plenty of help from his point guard Jrue Holiday.

"Jrue was Jrue tonight. 30 points, all kinds of rebound and assists. He's been tough all year."

To be precise, Holiday 9 boards and 7 assists to go with his 30 points. His precision was key, as New Orleans needed all they could get from their duo.

New Orleans shot the ball at just over 50% in the second half, thanks in large part to fast break points and key stops.

With the victory, the Pelicans improve their record to 20-32, 3 games back of 8th place in the West.

As New Orleans remains in serious trade talks to acquire a quality center, the franchise isn't interested in tanking, setting their sights and goal on the 8 seed.
