Just minutes after last night's All-Star game ended, it was announced the New York Mets have traded closer Francisco Rodriguez to the Milwaukee Brewers.  The Mets will also send cash to the Brewers and in exchange, will acquire two players to be named later.  It is believed the two players the Mets will receive will be tied to Rodriguez' performance with Milwaukee.

The trade is a sign the Central Division co-leaders are in it to win it this year. And, they may not be finished.  Milwaukee is also rumored to be interested in a shortstop, either J. J. Hardy or Rafael Furcal.  Rodriguez had 23 saves for the Mets and is expected to team with John Axford to give the Brewers a 1-2 punch in the bullpen.  Axford has performed well for the Brewers, but they've had issues with the rest of their bullpen.

This trade could also set off a flurry of action in the Central Division, with the Cardinals expected to make some moves as well.
