State Police Close I-10 Basin Bridge Due to Road Conditions in Area

We're getting word that the road conditions in Acadiana are beginning to deteriorate as temperatures plummet.

Authorities are advising citizens to stay off the roads as ice is beginning to form over some overpasses and bridges.

The latest closure announced is the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge between Lafayette and Baton Rouge.

The Henderson Police Dept. has announced that State Police have elected to close both East and Westbound lanes due to substandard driving conditions.

Much of Louisiana is experiencing freezing conditions and temperatures won't get beyond the freezing point until late Wednesday morning.
