You will be hearing about this a lot over the next few weeks. The solar eclipse that will be covering parts of Texas in complete darkness during the day on April 8th. Texas will not experience this again until 2044. So where should you watch this year's event? Number Five Sulphur Springs, Texas

Best Spots in Town? Astronomy Magazine recommends Coleman Lake Park or Cooper Lake State Park.

Number Four Hillsboro, Texas

Eclipse ends: 3:01:16 p.m. CDT
Duration of totality: 4 minutes 23 seconds

Best spots in Town? Honestly, the whole town is getting in on the solar eclipse. This maybe the city with the most events going on. Doesn't seem like a bad spot no matter where you go. Some local business will have something going on it looks like.

Number Three Lampasas, Texas

Duration of totality: 4 minutes 24 seconds

Best Spot in Town? Might I recommend at the World's Largest Spur, which is also in Lampasas,Texas. Knock out two birds with one stone with this one.

Duration of totality: 4 minutes 25 seconds

Best Spot in Town? The city is hosting an event in Louise Hays Park that day. NASA is hosting a free event so it will be sure to bring a lot of people to town.

Number One Radar Base, Texas

Eclipse starts: 12:10:26 p.m. CDT
Eclipse end: 2:51:30 p.m. CDT
Duration of totality: 4 minutes 27 seconds

Best Spot in Town? Uhm...anywhere? This town has literally only one thing and that's a single grocery store. Hardcore eclipse viewers are flocking to this very small town because the total solar eclipse will last longer here than anywhere else in America. So if you want to make the road trip, it's right near the Texas/Mexico border.
