Iwakuma Throws No-No for Mariners
Hishashi Iwakuma threw the American League's first no-hitter since 2012 today, leading the Seattle Mariners over the Baltimore Orioles 3-0.
It was the first no hitter since Iwakuma's teammate, Felix Hernandez, threw a perfect game three years ago. There have been 12 no hitters in the National League during that span.
The 34 year old is the oldest pitcher to throw a no hitter since Randy Johnson did it in 2004.
