Frank Francisco

New York Mets' closer Frank Francisco just added a little fuel to the fire of the New York Mets/New York Yankees rivalry by calling the Bonx Bonbers "chickens".

The Mets play host to the Yankees this weekend in the second part annual "Subway Series". The Yankees swept the Mets in a three-game series earlier in the year,

I normally don't pay a whole lot of attention to trash-talking, but I do have a couple of issues with what Francisco said.

First of all, what did he mean by calling the Yankees "chickens"? I mean, if you're going to talk trash, don't total trash. Don't just throw a little something out there, and then not elaborate.

Secondly, if I were Francisco, I'd be trying to keep a low profile. Yes, he does have 17 saves, but he also has an ERA. of 5.14, and a WHIP of 1.57.

It's always an interesting series when the Yankees and Mets square off, but Francisco just made this weekend's series at Citi Field that much more interesting.
