Draymond Green Suspended for Game Five
The NBA has issued a Flagrant One violation against Golden State's Draymond Green, which means the Warriors' power forward will have to sit out game five of the NBA Finals against Cleveland Monday night.
The announcement came after a review of an altercation between Green and Cleveland's LeBron James with less than three minutes left in the Warriors' game four win on Friday.
James and Green got tangled with Green falling to the floor. James stepped over him and Green appeared to swipe with his arm and make contact with James' groin.
The Flagrant One violation gave Green his fourth flagrant point of the playoffs, resulting in the suspension.
NBA officials said the action by itself did not warrant the suspension, but rather, the cumulative violations, according to league rules, made the suspension automatic.
