Crowley’s Marquis Shane Garrett Commits to Tennessee

A local prep football standout will be playing his future college football games in the SEC.

Marquis Shane Garrett, an athlete who attends Crowley High School, gave a verbal pledge to Tennessee over the weekend.

The son of former Crowley High School and Texas A&M great Shane Garrett, Garrett played quarterback in the prep ranks but also projects at receiver.

The 6-foot-3, 180-pound Garrett is currently a senior and is scheduled to graduate high school this spring.

Garrett was also reportedly offered by such schools as Tulane, Tulsa, Houston, Hutchinson Community College, McPherson College, Avila University, and Southern Arkansas.
