Beck Unseats Grossman as Redskins Starter

Evidently four interceptions in one game was enough for Mike Shanahan.

The Washington Redskins coach has announced that John Beck will take over as the starter when Washington faces the Carolina Panthers.

Beck led the Redskins to their only touchdown after Grossman was benched last Sunday.  It was his first appearance in a league game since 2007.

Grossman is next to last in the NFL in quarterback rating, ahead of the Colts' Kerry Collins, who has also been benched.
