A local prep standout quarterback will be playing his future college football for an in-state school.

St. Thomas More quarterback Caleb Holstein gave a verbal pledge to Louisiana Tech on Monday and is expected to sign with the Bulldogs on Wednesday.

Holstein had previously committed to Harvard over the summer.

The 6-foot-5, 210-pound Holstein threw for over 9,000 yards and 100 touchdowns at STM over his career, both school records.

Other schools that also reportedly offered Holstein include Louisiana, Cincinnati, Dartmouth, Boston College, Southern Miss, WKU, Troy, Tulsa, UTSA, Yale, Cornell, and Missouri.
