No Decision Yet on Garrett’s Future With Cowboys
Monday the New York Giants fired their head coach.
The Washington Redskins are hiring one.
But the Dallas Cowboys stood pat...at least for today.
Owner/General Manager Jerry Jones met briefly with embattled head coach Jason Garrett Monday and are scheduled to meet tomorrow, according to reports.
The Cowboys finished a disappointing 8-8 and failed to make the playoffs. Garrett's contract expires January 14th and most of his assistants have expiring contracts as well.
But Jones said he has no timetable in making a decision on Garrett's future. Garrett is 85-67 as the Cowboys' coach but has won only two playoff games since 2011.
