LAFAYETTE, La. (KPEL News) - A popular spring concert series in River Ranch has been postponed due to inclement weather, but the concert will be made up later this month.

Rhythms on the River, which was set to feature the Molly Ringwalds on Thursday night, but poor weather throughout the day put a damper on the planned show.

"Rhythms on the River has been postponed for tonight due to inclement weather," the event announced on its Facebook Page. "Mark your calendars for Thursday, May 30th, for a kickoff summer concert with The Molly Ringwalds!"

Rhythms on the River is a regular concert series held in the River Ranch Town Square, just outside City Club.

Next week's show, the final show in the concert series (aside from the May 30th make-up date for this week) features Wayne Toups.
