The I-10 westbound entrance and exit ramps at Exit 97 in Scott, Louisiana will be closed several nights later this week for construction.

The closure will allow crews to perform milling and paving operations for the I-10 ramp.

Below is the complete rundown of when each closure will happen.

The Exit Ramp will be closed as follows:

  • Wednesday, May 8 at 8:00 pm until Thursday, May 9 at 6:00 am (weather permitting)
  • Thursday, May 9 at 8:00 pm until Friday, May 10 at 6:00 am (weather permitting)

The Entrance Ramp will be closed as follows:

  • Thursday, May 9 at 8:00 pm until Friday, May 10 at 6:00 am (weather permitting)
  • Sunday, May 12 at 8:00 pm until Monday, May 13 at 6:00 am (weather permitting)

Other notes, including detour options

Motorists traveling on I-10 westbound will only be able to access Exit 97 (LA 93: Scott - Cankton) via the posted detour route, which includes continuing westbound on I-10 to Exit 92 (LA 95: Duson - Mire), turn south on LA 95, then take I-10 eastbound to Exit 97 (LA 93: Scott - Cankton).

Motorists traveling on LA 93 will only be able to access I-10 westbound via the posted detour route, which includes taking I-10 eastbound to Exit 100 (US 167/LA 3184: Ambassador Caffery Pkwy), turn north on US 167/LA 3184 (Ambassador Caffery Pkwy), then take I-10 westbound to Exit 97 (LA 93: Scott - Cankton).

Detour routes will be posted during the ramp closure periods.

Emergency vehicles will not have access to the entrance and exit ramps at Exit 100 (US 167/LA 3184: Ambassador Caffery). There will also be no vehicle width restrictions with this work.
