This Friday 'The Iron Claw' officially hits theaters everywhere and while we are excited to see Zach Efron star in another blockbuster movie, we are buying our tickets just to see one of our favorite local bands, LVVRS, on the big screen. Not only did this Louisiana band star in the film, the movie was shot in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. We had the pleasure of sitting down with frontman River Gibson who gave us the inside scoop.

LVVRS, affectionately known as "lovers," is a South Louisiana-based band that embodies the essence of all things disco pop and 1970s rock n' roll.

  • River Gibson lead singer and rhythm guitar
  • Edward Principato on lead guitar and backup vocals
  • Lillian Giacona on bass
  • Brennon Wilson plays drums and provides backup vocals

They have spent years curating their unique sound infused with hypnotic melodies that will have you on the dance floor sweating for hours, and then begging for more when it's all over.

Lvvrs attended the world premiere in Dallas for 'The Iron Claw' with the rest of the cast and their studio cover of the song they perform live in the movie will be out in January.

Presently, LVVRS is immersed in studio sessions, diligently piecing together their first EP Midnight Fantasy out Feb. 14.

Meanwhile, the band continues to tour across the Southern region, sharing more of their music and creative content with their growing fan base. Additionally, their music has found a home on television screens, as several of their tracks have been featured in popular reality shows such as "The Ultimatum" on Netflix and "Temptation Island" on USA Network. Most recently they had some songs placed on season 2 of the series "Hollywood Houselift" streaming on Prime.
